Cardiology Locum Tenens Physician

Position Overview

HPA Healthcare is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible General Cardiologist for a one-week locum tenens opportunity in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.

The assignment includes scheduled clinical services, hospital consultations, inpatient rounding, cardiac diagnostic procedures, and 24-hour call.

The physician will work with an established Cardiology team and advanced practice provider support.

Assignment Highlights

• $400/hour for scheduled clinical services

• $3,550 per 24-hour call shift

• $500/hour additional qualifying callback compensation, subject to assignment terms

• January 18-25, 2027

• Seven consecutive 24-hour call periods

• Approximately 17-18 patients per day

• Adult Cardiology

• Hospital and outpatient practice

• Nuclear reads, stress testing, TEE, and cardioversions

• Echocardiography and cardiac monitoring

• Cardiac CT interpretation preferred

• Low reported overnight and weekend callback frequency

• Weekend hospital rounding expected

• Epic EMR

• BC/BE Cardiology

• Pennsylvania license or active IMLC LOQ

• DEA required

• Temporary privileges available for qualifying candidates

• All approved orientation hours billable
