Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Locum Tenens Physician

Position Overview

HPA Healthcare is seeking an experienced, board-certified Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon for weekend locum tenens coverage in Greenville, North Carolina.

This assignment supports a high-volume reconstructive plastic surgery service at a 974-bed Level I Trauma Center. The physician will manage complex traumatic injuries involving the face, hands, upper extremities and lower extremities in adult and pediatric patients.

The ideal candidate is actively practicing reconstructive plastic surgery and has current or recent experience taking trauma call at a Level I or Level II Trauma Center.

Coverage consists of Friday 7:00 AM through Monday 7:00 AM. The physician will provide inpatient and emergency department consultations, operative management and appropriate follow-up care.

No outpatient clinic responsibilities are required.

• Inpatient Census: 10+ primary patients and consultations.

• Admissions: Approximately 2+ per weekend.

• Surgical Cases: Approximately 2+ per weekend, generally fewer than 10.

• Outpatient Clinic: None.

• ICU Duties: None.

• Code Response: Not required.

• EMR: Epic.

• Board Certification: American Board of Plastic Surgery required.

• License: Active North Carolina medical license required.

• Certifications: ACLS and BLS required.

• Compensation: Competitive regular and holiday call compensation, with additional callback compensation under agreed terms.
