Job Description
HPA Healthcare is seeking a Board-Certified Emergency Medicine physician for a high-paying locum tenens assignment in North Carolina.
The physician will work 12-hour day or night shifts in a 22-bed emergency department with approximately 32,000–34,000 annual visits. The coverage model consists of one attending physician supported by two NP/PAs providing split coverage. Physicians typically personally manage approximately 18–20 patients during a 12-hour shift.
This opportunity pays $325 per hour/$3,900 per 12-hour shift, which is higher than the currently advertised competing rate for the same assignment. There is no call. Hospital-owned apartment accommodations are provided, and approved transportation expenses may be reimbursed up to the facility’s $500 aggregate travel cap.
Candidates must be Board Certified in Emergency Medicine and already enrolled in North Carolina Medicaid and PECOS.
