HPA Healthcare is seeking a Board Certified Urologist for a long-term locum tenens opportunity in North Carolina.

This assignment offers competitive compensation, consistent weekend coverage, and the opportunity to provide essential inpatient and emergency department Urology services without scheduled outpatient clinic responsibilities.

Assignment Highlights

• Weekend Earnings: ~$10,000 per weekend

• Start Date: February 2027.

• Duration: Approximately 12 months.

• Schedule: Friday 7 AM - Monday 7 AM.

• Coverage Needed: 3 weekends per month.

• Call Type: 24-hour beeper call.

• Response Time: 20 minutes.

• Practice Setting: Inpatient and Emergency Department.

• No Scheduled Outpatient Clinic.

• Patient Volume: Approximately 3-5 patients per 24-hour shift, plus phone consultations.

• EMR: Epic.

• Credentialing: Approximately 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide hospital-based Urology call coverage.

• Evaluate and manage adult patients requiring general Urology services.

• Respond to emergency department and inpatient consultations.

• Perform inpatient rounding and appropriate urologic interventions.

• Provide telephone consultations to hospital staff.

• Maintain the required 20-minute response time.

• Coordinate patient care with emergency medicine and hospitalist teams.

• Document care in Epic.
