Urgent Care / Family Medicine Locum Tenens Physician

Position Overview

HPA Healthcare is seeking an experienced Urgent Care or Family Medicine Physician for a 26-week locum tenens assignment in Neptune City, New Jersey.

The physician will provide independent outpatient urgent care coverage in a busy clinical setting, managing approximately 40-50 patients daily with support from one to two Certified Medical Assistants.

Candidates must be comfortable with a high-volume environment and proficient in laceration and suture repair.

Assignment Highlights

• Physician Pay: $170/hour

• Proposed Overtime Pay: $221/hour, subject to approved contract terms

• Pay Ranking: Upper-market proposed compensation compared with published New Jersey primary care benchmarks; exact urgent care percentile not verified

• Assignment Dates: 11/01/2026-05/01/2027

• Duration: 26 weeks

• Clinic Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-8:00 PM; Saturday-Sunday, 8:00 AM-4:00 PM

• Actual Shift Schedule: To be confirmed

• Coverage: Single physician

• Patient Volume: 40-50 patients daily

• Support: 1-2 CMAs per shift

• Required Procedures: Laceration and suture repair

• Call: None

• EMR: Epic

• Credentialing: Approximately 30 days

• NJ License and DEA: Required

• Emergency Department Experience: Preferred

• Telehealth Experience: Not required

• Prior Travel Experience: Not required

Monday-Friday Clinic Hours: 8:00 AM-8:00 PM
Saturday-Sunday Clinic Hours: 8:00 AM-4:00 PM
