Position Overview

HPA Healthcare is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Neurohospitalist for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity in San Antonio, Texas.

This assignment offers flexible block scheduling at a stroke-certified hospital, with opportunities for both weekend and extended 7-day coverage.

The physician will provide inpatient neurological care, manage neurological consultations, and independently interpret EEGs.

• No APP supervision
• No resident/teaching responsibilities
• Travel reimbursement available within client guidelines

Responsibilities

The physician will provide inpatient Neurohospitalist services, including evaluation and management of acute neurological conditions, neurological consultations, stroke-related care, EEG interpretation, coordination with the hospital's clinical teams, and Cerner documentation.

Requirements

• MD or DO
• Board Certified or Board Eligible
• Active Texas medical license
• Inpatient Neurology/Neurohospitalist experience
• Ability to independently interpret EEGs
• ACLS and BLS
• Additional facility-required certifications
• Comfortable providing 24-hour in-house coverage
