Anesthesiology Locum Tenens Physician

Position Overview

HPA Healthcare is seeking an experienced Anesthesiologist for a 26-week locum tenens opportunity in Auburn, New York.

The physician will provide full-time weekday anesthesia coverage along with required night and weekend call. This position requires an anesthesiologist with strong regional anesthesia skills, independent block proficiency, OB anesthesia experience, and experience supervising CRNAs.

Assignment Highlights

• 26-week assignment
• Monday–Friday
• 7:00 AM–3:00 PM
• Full-time scheduled coverage
• Night and weekend call required
• Minimum 2 call shifts/week
• Additional call may be available
• Regional anesthesia required
• Must independently perform blocks
• OB anesthesia experience required
• Comfortable supervising CRNAs up to 4:1
• Epic experience required
• Active New York license required
• Approximately 3–4 week credentialing timeline
• Travel reimbursement available for eligible expenses

Call Schedule

Night Call: 5:00 PM–7:00 AM

Weekend Call: 24-hour coverage, 7:00 AM–7:00 AM

Physicians must be able to arrive at the hospital within 30 minutes when called and must be willing to cover at least 2 call shifts per week.

Qualifications

• MD or DO
• Minimum 2 years of Anesthesiology experience
• Board Certified or Board Eligible
• Active New York license in hand
• Regional anesthesia proficiency
• Ability to independently perform blocks
• OB anesthesia experience
• Comfortable supervising CRNAs up to 4:1
• Epic experience
• Current required AHA/RQI certifications
• Residents and fellows cannot be considered
