HPA Healthcare is seeking an experienced Cardiothoracic Surgery Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity in Lebanon, Pennsylvania.

This is a hospital-based cardiac surgery position providing weekend call coverage for adult cardiothoracic surgery patients. The APP will participate in inpatient rounding, postoperative management, urgent cardiac surgical care, surgical support, and vein harvesting.

The position requires an experienced cardiac surgery APP who can function with a high degree of independence while working collaboratively with the cardiac surgery team. Surgeon backup is available as needed.

Assignment Highlights

• Provider Pay: $825 per 24-hour call
• Callback Pay: $280/hour after 2 gratis hours
• Pay Ranking: Top 10–15% / Highly Competitive
• Friday 5:00 PM through Monday 7:00 AM weekend coverage
• Approximately 3 weekends per month
• 24-hour call
• Approximately 4 hours of callback/rounding activity per day
• Adult cardiac surgery population
• Inpatient/hospital-based setting
• Vein harvesting required
• Epic EMR
• APP support
• Cardiac surgeon available for backup
• Temporary privileges may be available for urgent needs with a clean file
