Pediatric Hospitalist Locum Tenens Physician

Position Overview

One of our healthcare partners in northern New York is seeking a Board-Certified Pediatrician for an ongoing locum tenens Pediatric Hospitalist opportunity beginning January 4, 2027.

This is an attractive option for a physician looking for concentrated coverage rather than a traditional full-time schedule. The need is only 5–7 24-hour shifts per month, and multiple consecutive 24-hour shifts may be available, allowing the physician to consolidate coverage into blocks.

The physician provides coverage for the newborn nursery, high-risk deliveries, pediatric inpatient unit, and emergency department consultations. When there are no acute hospital issues, the physician may remain outside the hospital as long as they can return within 20 minutes when needed.

Pay is $2,000 per 24-hour shift, with callback paid at $225/hour after 4 gratis hours of patient-care callback.
