Urology Locum Tenens Physician

Position Overview

HPA Healthcare is seeking a Board-Certified Urologist for a locum tenens assignment in New York beginning October 5, 2026.

This opportunity offers a combination of outpatient urology, procedures, inpatient consultations, and post-operative rounding with optional 24-hour call coverage. Full-time coverage is preferred; however, the facility will consider two physicians who can combine their availability to provide the equivalent of full-time coverage, such as approximately two weeks per month each.

The practice is seeking a physician comfortable with bread-and-butter adult urology. The facility currently has a significant staffing need and is interested in physicians who can provide consistent coverage over the six-month assignment.

Recommended Provider Pay

• Regular Clinical: $425/hour
• 24-Hour Call: $3,000/day
• Callback: $550/hour
• Holiday / OT: $531.25/hour (1.25× regular)

• Full-time coverage preferred
• Will consider two physicians providing approximately 2 weeks/month each
• Typical schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Clinic currently operates primarily Monday–Thursday, 8:00 AM–5:30 PM
• Optional/flexible call based on physician availability
• 24-hour call: 7:00 AM–7:00 AM
• Approximately 20 patients per day
• Adult patients only
• Bread-and-butter Urology
• Outpatient clinic with inpatient consults and post-op rounding as needed
• OR time available
• Level III Trauma Center
• Epic EMR
• New York license must already be in hand
• U.S. Board Certification required
• BLS required
• Travel reimbursement available within facility guidelines
