Commitment to Diversity

Healthcare Partner Associates, LLC, (HPA Healthcare) values the strength diversity brings into all work environments. At HPA Healthcare, we are committed to doing our part to help ensure that every person has access to the opportunity to live a healthy life. As such, we are intentional in building a pipeline of diverse caregivers to better serve the patient population of our clients. Patients tend to be more comfortable with caregivers that they deem to be a part of their community, however, they define it. Hence, HPA Healthcare will do our part to assist in stemming the problematic tide that gender and racial bias and/or discrimination levies on patients across all levels of our country’s health care system.

Over 50% of women (versus about 30% of men) believe gender discrimination in patient care is a serious problem. Twenty percent of women reported feeling ignored or dismissed by a healthcare provider while 17% feel they’ve been treated differently because of their gender. (And that doesn’t even begin to touch on the disparities between the treatment of cisgender and transgender patients.)
DR. ALIABADI EDUCATION TEAM

Groups of people who are racialized as inferior, henceforth referred to as racialized minorities, are devalued, disempowered, and subjected to differential treatment in various institutions, including healthcare, resulting in negative material consequences affecting people’s living conditions, everyday lives, including access to healthcare and health outcomes (BMC Public Health)” To help us attract a diverse cadre of caregivers, we will build our DEI and belonging efforts around the following pillars:

Success in our efforts will be determined by meeting an equitable race and gender makeup level in our recruitment and representation metrics
